is a short film based on the play Guerrilla byJohn Cargill Thompson. The original text is an extended monologue delivered by Judas Iscariot to the nationalist conspirators, in which he gives his rationale for his "betrayal" of Christ. The text has been reinterpreted and adapted for the screen by Paul Harry Thomas and Nathan Leigh Horrocks.
It is a powerfully imaginative piece of writing, which simultaneously raises important questions about the character of Judas, and of Christian orthodoxy in general. The play won a Scotsman Fringe First award when it was performed by John Kay Steel at the Edinburgh Festival, and John has revived the role for the film.
The film was directed by Paul Harry Thomas and Produced by Nathan Leigh Horrocks. It will be appearing in festivals throughout 2011.
