The Great Drag Race is a feature documentary with real heart and soul. It tells the real-life, as-it-happens story of ten men living with prostate cancer who aim to raise awareness of this silent killer in the most flamboyant way possible.
Despite killing as many people as breast cancer, 70% of us don’t even know what the prostate is. This is a shocking statistic. Now these ten ordinary chaps are on a mission to prove men have issues, too - even if they have to dress up as women to talk about it!
Over 3 months they will perfect the art of drag cabaret before launching themselves on the big stage. But that’s only half the story. They aim to set a new world record, and persuade 1000 other men of all shapes and sizes to join them in a 10.2km march in London on 19 June 2010. It will be the biggest drag march the world has ever seen. You can view the trailer here.
